DWELLS BLOCKS
The concept of blocks and facades for the Odessa district. The project is an extension of the district planning concept, which incorporates the principles of diversity and modern urbanism.
The idea of construction and facades is rooted in the principles of creating a diverse environment and reimagining the traditional old Odessa architecture. The new environment serves as a metaphor for the old city, where both quiet streets and "random places" coexist, offering comfort and safety, uneven parcelization, and diverse facades. The smaller facades' parcelization is correlated with the building's height, and together, these principles form the foundation of the "human scale" of the urban environment. Sloping roofs extend the identity of the "Avangard" district and the existing local community. Residential buildings with 5-6 stories serve as a focal point for living at the tree canopy level, positively impacting the connection with nature and the overall physical and emotional well-being of residents. While all facades are unique, they are executed in a consistent stylistic manner.
